These large and attractive
banknotes were made during the last years of the Czarist government of Russia The
500 Rubles is dated 1912 and depicts a portrait and watermark of Peter the
Great. The note
measures an amazing 275 x 127mm (10.8" x 5"). It must have taken a
rather large wallet to fit these notes!
